Re: Edit button missing
Yes the edit facility has had its time reduced. Every now and again we get idiots coming along and making a post that many people comment on and then they go and edit the original post and it makes threads look stupid. Like our country, accyweb has various states of 'alert' currently the 'idiot alert' has been raised to level amber and will remain at that level until the all clear is given.

Re: Edit button missing
At the end of the day roy a persons post is a persons post, they own the copyright on it.
Maybe it wasn't used for intention they posted it. Maybe the comments in the replys weren't constructive debate but just p taking idiot posts.
I must agree though its not nice when someone goes deleteing things without asking.
Sometimes admin and mods do it. My forum may have a chance after all because thats exactly whats been happening down here in the mids and it doesn't half p the person off who posted it. Eventually they'll have enough and hopefully come over to where they can post what they want. There loss my gain.

It's somebody else's site, & therefore they set the rules. If somebody wrote cr@p comments on your wallpaper at home, you wouldn't worry about their copyright. You'd delete it (paint over it), then prevent them from doing it again.

Are we on all clear yet? Not being able to go back and edit glaring spelling and grammar mistakes is really becoming a pain in the butt

Mr Roy, sir, I don't think this is working properly - I'm sure I've seen Neil on the site in the last few days!

Calm down Gayle, Roy doesn't Mean you, just because you go 'neil spotting' does not mean you're an idiot, it's the other little things that you do that make you a possible candidate though!

Actually, I do that too Neil, I suppose that makes me more of an idiot doesn't it?
