Panopticon Madness - Thank God its them.

Aren’t we fortunate that HBC are not animal lovers? Maybe we should have kept to the original suggestion for the Coppice. This lead is from Trail Magazine, the picture say’s it all. Aren’t we lucky………..

An enormous pink bunny has been erected on an Italian mountainside where it will stay for the next 20 years. The 200-foot-long toy rabbit lies on the side of the 5,000 foot high Colletto Fava Mountain in northern Italy's Piedmont region. Viennese art group Gelatin designed the giant soft toy and says it was "knitted by dozens of grannies out of pink wool".

Group member Wolfgang Gantner said: "It's supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver. You walk around it and you can't help but smile." And Gelatin members say the bunny is not just for walking around - they are expecting hikers to climb its 20 foot sides and relax on its belly. The giant rabbit is expected to remain on the mountain side until 2025.

Very wierd that "rabbit"

Its the sort oof crazy thing HBC would do though but have it there 50 years and guarded 24/7.

I saw this thing on a tv programme a few weeks ago. There is some sort of debate going on as to whether the wool will last for that long once it is exposed to the elements.

It looks sprawled, rather than erected.

You can't even see the fluffy tail.

Trust you to think of its tail……

If this was to happen on one of our mountains I’d have to get off my backside and buy a box of matches. Thank god the opposite view exists over here.

I think it would be a very good idea for here in the UK.

All the Grannies knitting just one giant toy, would cut down on the number of 'craft' fairs.

I seem to remember that now willow, I knew I had seen it somewhere recently but couldn’t remember where. It’s also an article in Trial Magazine this month which made me think that someone might in enjoy the humorous side of it.

I still don't think it's going to last anything like 20 years!

You'd need something a bit bigger than mustard and cress. Have you seen the size of that rabbit??!!??
