Quick! Someone say something nice

lets have a positive thread.. no moaning or crying or arguing or slagging off the club... lets have a nice thread and everyone bombard bad karma on anyone who is negative

So... Lots of changes in the squad coming up.. current squad losing so we cant do any worse... i for one am excited about saturday.. good win at grimsby

I think the paint pot trophy is doable.. its ages since we had a good cup run let alone a final... that would be great.. get our spirits up eh.... lets have a party at donny

Re: Quick! Someone say something nice

League football is great, you get a piece in the paper every week or more, get to see the goals on telly even get to be in computer games.

I personally will be happy with a third from bottom finish, so we can be here next season.
We are three months into the season, three months ago nobody at the club had any league experience, we climbed to 12th and have just slipped back a few places, a couple of wins and we'll be going up again.
There is no need for a Coley out or Eric out campain, just because we lost 4 games on the trot, we don't need play-offs, and we certainly don't need promotion.
We only need stability, and to consolodate our place in the league.

So lets all get behind the lads on the pitch, stop abusing them from kick-off, shout encouragement and show them they did good with applause and cheers.
Our job as supporters is to support so lets do just that - Support Stanley.

Re: Quick! Someone say something nice

Personally, I can't wait for Saturday. Off the train, straight into the Seaview chippy (near the pier - apparently, the "best chippy in the region"), a brisk walk along the prom, a browse around for a nice souvenir for Mrs H (just to prove I didn't spend the afternoon in a table dancing club), into the pub for a few pints of foaming ale, onto the ground to witness the Red Men triumph, then the long but happy journey home, puncuated by a few more celebratory pints along the way. Oh yes, indeedy! If this club only has two more years left I want to enjoy every second of it!

North Padiham I'd rather follow a Flatulent horse with projectile diarrhoea

I think we should take this great story as we all may not have alot (no Roof) and we may not be rich and our stadium isnt perfect but we have got rid of sean doherty for awhile and in 2 years we can support nelson one week and padiham the next and we will love them very much

Roll on the happy times

Re: Quick! Someone say something nice

Yes - this recent run is just a minor blip - and we did get as high as 9th from 22nd - so no reason why it cannot happen again.

Coley and Eric have taken us to where we are now in just a few seasons - and who could really have thought that would happen so quickly ? It has been a fantastic achievement and now is the time for us to be right behind them as they steer Stanley through troubled waters to a safe midtable position, where we can consolidate.

Win,lose or draw, Accrington Stanley is a fantastic club to be involved with and we have the best supporters in the world !!!
