A walk from Newlands to Ard Crag with a stop off in Keswick to see Derwent Water on the way back. A place close to my heart as it's where I was conceived during the freezing winter of '62/'63 on my parents honeymoon -apparently you could skate on the Lake! Hard to imagine...

Finished my daily quota with two nice pics of the dry stone wall just outside the mobile home at Park Foot where I stay on Ullswater.

(As an aside, the story of Mrs Tiggywinkle by Beatrix Potter is set in Newlands and the paintings in the book were all done in the valley.)
