Re: well on Pendle

well, (ahem) my replacement boot have arrived, i bought some new boots in august from trespass in Preston, but every time i wore them no matter what i tried was getting wet feet, even bought some gaiters to see if that would help, stop the water wicking down from my wet trousers through my socks, this wasnt it, so contacted trespass was told to take them into the store, and they would send them off for testing, after i explained that the cost and fuel and parking to go back to drop them off then pick them up, they agreed that i could send them back direct, 2 weeks after sending them i now have a replacement pair, they said that the seam had failed, they initially wanted to send out the same boot, but i said i had no confidence in that boot (suede n mesh), so i asked if i could go into the store and pay the extra for some all leather ones, they have sent me the upgraded boot at no extra charge, initial boot was £99 but they had a 50% reduction and an instore further reduction of 10% so only cost me £40, the boots i had chosen were £99 with no reduction

win for me, and win for trespass, because even though i had a bad experience with the initial boot, i am now a happy bunny that i have been given a £50 upgrade, and i am now sharing with everyone how good they have been, nice to see customer service being exactly that!

so wearing them round the house, and with a bit of luck sunday/monday should be "well hunting" with my new boots on, just hope they keep my feet dry now!
