But also to be honest, he doesn't make any secret about his prejudices. It's not as if he offers his opinion as unbiased political comment. I agree with a lot of what he says, but I would express myself a little differently ... I like to keep a sense of humour when all about me are losing theirs
As Will Waggledagger puts it: "There's nothing serious in mortality;/All is but toys; renown, and grace is dead./The wine of life is drawn, and the mere lees/Is left this vault to brag of." Sounds a lot like a comment on contemporary politics and politicians, over there and over here. At the least, "lees" accurately pictures Cameron and Stephen Harper, tories both.
