In Saskatchewan, many Rural Municipalities used to put a bounty on them; it was a big deal for the kids who get a quarter for each gopher tail they took to the RM office. But if you are interested, I think it would take two of them to make a small pie ... only problem is, I don't think there are two many gophers over there.
