Re: Goal or What
Your intrepid reporter at FA HQ.
Just heard stright from the FA that instead of putting a chip in the ball they are going to program a chip and put one in each of the officials except the 4th official as he does Fu*8 all anyway, the chip is being sponsored by Fly Emirates they being the ones who sponsor the Refs this year and coincidently Chelski as well, (er just wondering why these decsions always help the southern sellout club). Alex "the red faced one" Ferguson said he agreed it was time for technology to be used as he noticed that only 7 mins of the 4 alloted extra time mins had been used and "we should have had a penalty which technology would have given us" as for the goal crossing the line he said "I didnt see it and nor did any of the other 65 people on the bench, not even technology would have given that as a goal, we should have had a penalty".It was later explained to him that Technology was not the nickname of Mike Riley his favorite ref.
Manchester United today issued a statement about refs being programed with chips.
We at Manchester United agree that we need to move up with technology and although a ref with a chip would be an improvement we need to be assured that it would help Manchester United ( We sent chips to Joe Corrigan when he was at City and that worked). We have hired a programmer who will look at the chips and ensure they are up to Manchester United standards, he is completly unbiased as he is from London and although a fan of the club he does'nt actualy know where Manchester is. We have also decided that if we dont agree with the FA about these chips we will pull out of the FA Cup, again.
United manager Alex "call me dell" Ferguson said he has been given a new digital watch as Mickey Mouse is still wearing an Alex Ferguson watch.
