I'd see this as confirmation of Connor's success so far rather than a replacement.
There hasn't been anywhere near enough good football from us in the final third this season but what there has been has originated out wide.
Mahoney's precocious talent scares the living daylights out of opposition defenders and allows us to stretch play away from our weak central midfield.
If Caton can offer some balance to this - or if Naismith can pull his finger out - we have every chance of coming back from a ridiculous start. Especially with the big man up top.
