"Marcus Carver is giving a striker masterclass every week and it so refreshing to see someone so young applying themselves with great skill and determination and something we have not seen all season. Several times Carver has won balls upfront and got his head up only to see the midfield lumbering forward in slow motion to try and give an impression of supporting the front players. The lack of midfield energy is one of the more noticeable faults in Barrow’s recent league performances in my opinion. Ironically it is the easiest thing to instil in a team.

As you know Carver is a loan player and when he goes so will our goals threat"
