None of the candidates for the general election have shown their faces either.
Usually the various councillors for the parties canvas for the local election and also promote the candidate for the general election too....But nothing.

In years gone by, the polling stations were visited by members of the various party teams and if you had not been and cast a vote they would offer you a lift to the polling station to encourage you to vote for their candidate....this doesn't happen anymore now.
