Hold the fund raising, Nick, it may be counter-productive!
Couldn't help smiling as I listened to Danny Webber commentating on the FC Utd cup game last night. In his summary, he suggested that the quality of the facilities at Broadhurst Park, including the changing rooms, made it less likely that a League team would be rattled by playing there, and thus be less likely to be turned over by the underdogs. He compared this with other grounds, namely Stanley's, where, he alleged, the changing rooms 'spook' teams that are more used to luxury, and thus increase the chance they won't perform well.
So, I trust any investment that the OASSC contributes towards the changing rooms will be limited to the home team's, and that the opposition will be made to get changed in the toilets inside the Crown and walk to the ground.
