I have read your comments about the book on other threads but assume there must be some truth in there amongst the fiction.
Are there any similar books around which are accurate or will future generations continue to be equally misinformed, believing that to be the truth?

Your best bet is to contact Accrington library, either on a Monday or a Friday when John Simpson is on, he will know of any other works, I have seen Huncote & Clayton mentioned, there are also several knowledgeable people on the other areas of Greater Accrington, on a web site known as Hyndburn Chat.
