A lethal combination that! In my younger & carefree days myself & other young Squaddies, used to head off to the wash house in Osnabruck to do our dobie Saturday afternoons. To while away the boring wait we'd be off over the road into the "Big Ben" a Brit pub, unfortunately this had the effect that the dobie was forgotten & the Troops would be on a bit of a session.
End result, some time Sunday evening, hordes of Troops rummaging through heaps of crumpled (but clean & usually still damp) Army clobber for something appropriate, that could be ironed & worn for Monday mornings C.O's inspection.
