It won't stop them, BUT, if we control our own borders we will not have to take in people because we have an obligation to some document passed & decided by other authorities rather than our own government. We stipulate & we decide.

Why not? If we're not sending money away to be divided amongst other european projects & us being given back a pittance (of our own money) then being told how to use it by the eu. Surely that is in our own interest?

Will these alleged savings actually be spent how the exit campaign are saying they should be? Will they heck!

You know this for a fact do you? there may well be some dilution to its uses, but it will be being spent on British interests within our own Country.

Its already been shown that immigration cannot be stopped because of it, we just get to add more bureaucracy into it. There will still be a massive influx from Syria etc. and we cannot and should not be preventing these people from leaving the place where they are likely to get killed. I know I wouldn't like to be in their shoes.

Wrong, immigration can be stopped (Look at the States, Australia & Japan, to name a few. Rigorous entry standards & requirements to attain a controlled visa, that or no entry) Only we don't have anyone in authority with the backbone to make the hard decisions that would enable such a thing to happen. Aye it's right to feel sorry for folk being persecuted & yes they should be helped, but why here? Why not closer to home? Or in a Country with a similar attitude, religion & culture?

Look at a map of the World, then have a quick count of how many countries Abdullah wans-a-handful has crossed to be standing on the beach at Calais, demanding mind, not asking that wicked Christian imperialist Britain let him, his 3 wives & 15 kids in so he can have a decent life! ((Not counting the various Aunts, Uncles, second cousins, goats & camels which will be toddling along at a later date to join them under - Article 8 ECHR & bingo! All the raping, theft etc. that attributed to EU and outside EU immigrants isn't going to suddenly stop just because we leave the EU.

No, no, you're quite right! If it's ingrained in their culture (which seems to be the case with the middle eastern & sub Saharan perpetrators) we could maybe bring about a change but only after much trouble, cost & heartache, far easier to deny entrance & save us all the difficulties in the first instance. If this is how they want to behave, crack on! But do it in their own country amongst those of a similar attitude & inclination!

Immigration is not the be all that matters for this vote, our ability to trade with Europe is IMO more important as that affects my finances.

Oh it's about your money is it? Righty oh! How much extra do you think you're paying for say, power saving light bulbs (inflicted on us by the eu) your Leccy (because so much has to be provided by renewables, which by the way receive huge subsidies (guess where from) paid for by UK taxpayers via, you guessed it .... the eu!) Your motor? stinging taxes on fuel & insurance, then there's the ruling about tyre pressure warning systems ( Latest News - European legislation on TPMS imminent ) why? to save the Poley Bears of course & screw the average Joe for some more sheckles for the depleted eu coffers.
