First match of the new season!

I just can't wait!

Stanley v Doncaster Rovers.

Rovers relegated last season but will, I am sure, still provide tough opposition.

Stanley with another new squad after departures and signings in the summer.

Looking forward to enjoying the new facilities in the refurbished Clayton End!

Could take a match or three for Coley and Jimmy to find their 'Best Eleven'.

Not wishing to dwell on the final stages of last season, but that is history now, and we can look forward to another season in the Football League with ASFC.

Who would have thought that just 11 or 12 years ago?

I am sure that all of you guys and gals have been as frustrated as me with missing the match experience during the summer. Now we can all get right behind the STANLEY boys IN RED tomorrow and help them get off to a great start.
For once we don't start as relegation favourites but in a strange way that puts a bit of pressure on Coley, Jimmy and the team!

Let's all get 100% behind the boys tomorrow!
Sing and shout and give it everything as we always do!
