Absolutely! We can bicker till the cows come home about the merits of the officials, but they weren't responsible for Stanley poor performance. After all, the ref correctly red carded one of their players and disallowed a goal for offside. Had he chose to ignore the linesman, we would have lost the game 1-2.
We all get frustrated when things don't go to plan & look for scapegoats to blame, referees, poor substitutions etc., but Stanley can only blame themselves for allowing the ten men of Cheltenham to equalise in the dying minutes.[/QUOTE]
I don't think anyone has blamed the ref or used him as a scapegoat for our lacklustre performance - we were definitely way under par - but he certainly didn't help matters due to his inept decisions
