Why exactly do you think we should be attracting gates of at least 3000 'by now' - we hardly reached that number last season when we were at the top! And I'm afraid recent results aren't going to attract anyone but the committed fans to the Crown at the moment - yes, it's brilliant when the opposition brings a fair sized following which boosts our gate but as for home fans the problem of apathy amongst the population of Accrington isn't going to go away any time soon.
The improvements to the ground which have already been completed have enhanced the match day experience but on their own they aren't going to attract prospective new fans
