Having lived in Saudi Arabia I can't help but be amused by those conflicted leftie feminists who defend their Muslim sisters' "right" to wear burkas and face coverings. There was an excellent article about this in Saturday's Times by a Muslim Oxford professor.
The question I'd like to ask those who believe it is a woman's 'right' to be covered up and kept hidden away by order of fundamentalist men is this - would those wearing burkas and niqabs stand up and defend your 'right' to show your legs and arms and if you were walking through Chop Square in Jeddah?
