I have come to the conclusion that democracy is an illusion.
Whoever is in power, it is the (unelected)senior civil servants who pull all the strings.
If voting changed anything they would stop us from doing it....and yet, if the electorate makes the decisions, then that means the politicians are off the hook....they have someone else they can blame.
They think we are all brain dead morons anyway.
I despair for the future.
