Let's get back to reality.
There are NO football professionals - from any league, proven or not, beating a path to John Coleman's door for the privilege of playing for peanuts in front of the lowest gates in the EFL.
Panic punts? Huge gambles? Really????
When it comes to gambling Stanley aren't sitting at the casino table with the high-rollers.
They're in the penny arcade trying to drop that elusive fiver temptingly perched on the edge of the tuppenny waterfall.
Stanley will never inhabit the world of fantasy football. For us it is & will always remain the Hunger Games.
Pardon me for disagreeing, but aren't we already living the dream!
Thanks to Coleman & Bell, we're playing football in League 1. Flyweights punching above our weight in the Middleweight division.
Now & then we'll suffer a k.o! The odd black eye is par for the course.
Thanks to Andy Holt, we're debt free & actually made a profit last year. Rarer than a winding up order from HMRC.
Of course, we could always take a massive gamble by spending millions we haven't got on players we can't afford, in the hope of achieving success.
Bolton & Bury followed that road - it leads to the edge of oblivion.
That would be pafetic, sorry I meant p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c !
With a capital P.
