Doesn't sound that even!
Stats don’t necessarily always tell the whole story
Milord.
Stanley had a flurry of shots in the first few minutes which were all blocked easily and didn’t get through to their goalie.
This clearly puts a slant on the stats for the first half IMHO. Also Hull put the ball in the net but that was marginally offside.
Stanley soon got on top reflected by the two yellow cards for Hull players in the first half when they had to chase our boys as Stanley took a firmer hold on the game. Don’t forget it was still 0-0 at half time!.....Fairly even IMHO but I will concede Stanley just had the edge!
Stanley certainly bossed the second half though and fully deserved the win!
Team spirit was excellent personified by Dion Charles’ running, defending and vocally encouraging his team mates. Barclay stepped in and was excellent. Two great goals too should give the team more confidence for the matches to come.
ON STANLEY ON.
KEEP THE FAITH.
