Considering your broadband is nowhere near 54mbps it should in theory do fine. Beware though that if you intend to have someone surfing, someone gaming and your pcs are also talking to each other over wireless, your access point may well become maxed out and this will result in slowdown. Also remember even though it says 54mbps / 108 or whatever they only perform like that in labaratory conditions

Personally for a games system that requires as best performance as you can get I would cable it to the router.
