I've also read it waaay back in the seventies and have been drawn back to reading it many times since, however I also read a book called
Lancashire witches which I have always suspected is where the author of
mist over pendle got most of his plot from, a very deep book but worth the effort of proceeding with if you want more info', (and can find a copy, it was first printed sometime in the late 19th century).
