I keep hearing all this crap about Rory Prendergast. I seem to remember that he was wished well by the club, his team mates and the supporters of Accrington Stanley. Why should this change just because he had the misfortune to be drawn against his former club.

If this man is a sportsman, and I believe he is, he will give all for the team that pays is wages and will honour the colours of the supporters of that club.

The fact that he didn’t make an meal of celebrating with the lads from Halifax is testament perhaps to his feelings towards Stanley, yet banter apart he was treated abysmally on the day and continues to be so in some quarters.

If he’s made a mistake by moving to Blackpool he’s paying for now and is likely to continue to do so until he finds a club that will let him play to his potential.
