Well, well, well. So there were all the pundits saying that this film was going to do the biggest sweep of the Oscars since Titanic or Gandi. What happened? One award for the Jap director,best screen play and then nowt.

I have not seen, nor have any intention of seeing this film, but I do know for a simple fact that to watch two hours of actors botty bashing in cowboy hats is a pursuit that must appeal to only a few (presumably film critics).

Personally, I had a few quid on Wallace & Vomit to pick up the gold-plated statuette. Honest entertainment with a beginning, a plot and a happy end - and moreover put togeather by a Lancastrian! Why can't we have more films like this instead of puffters poncing on the prairies?
