As I stated in your last post in February, I live in Wigan, I could go and watch the cheapest Premiership club in the land, or even worse and no hope Rugby League club, but I am Accrington born and bred and now bring at least 3 pie-eaters to watch Stanley on a regular basis, both home and away, and they love it. They say that watching at the JJB has no atmosphere, they preferred the days of Springfield Park (for the uninitiated it was a bit like our ground but slightly bigger) which is why they come to Stanley now! The only problem I can see in the future is that success breeds bigger gates and better stadia, therefore, Does Eric and Co. want a successful team with all the bells and whistles or do we want to languish in League 2 or worse forever more. I know what my answer would be.
Well you must be on a good wage packet then Ozzy - great stuff for those that can afford whatever the prices are - some of us arn't that lucky & for the local support - just remember we are a small town with a big mix of minimum wage earners or less as for the future of the towns employment who knows but its the luxuries thats cut at the end of the day so that must be remembered. I appreciate the club needs its revenue & Eric has an asstute business mind but really wants to think of other ways of acquiring funds though without comprise of the gate intakage by over pricing & not being competitive - which doesn't make business sence!!

SO as a fan it is quite disheartening that i may have to become a sofa supporting fan rather than be there despite being a mile & half away because i simply cant afford to support the club on a weekly basis, i have 2 U12's & myself & not a great wad of doe to go around, season just gone i was lucky to go to quite a few home games. I suppose my point is irrelevant to a lot that isn't restricted to the club & that my point & support isn't valued BUT lets see next season how the attendance is - then that will speak for itself.
