Another suggestion is to work backwards through the Prime Ministers and see how far back you can remember.

As for the oldest person that I've met, I guess it would be my two great grandmothers. One died when I was about 12 and she was probably around 75 and my other died when I was about 16 and she was 86, I think. Feel very fortunate that I met two very different but very formidable women and had a full compliment of grandparents until I was almost 30.

Btw - for coincidence, one of my Great Grandmothers was an office clerk at the factory that Chris's grandad worked and then my dad served his apprenticeship there.
