Really enjoyed my day out in Watford yesterday.
Went for tea at the Football Cafe round the corner from the ground, it was nice food in there and the staff were friendly too, We were the only Stanley fans in there and got some strange looks from the locals
The game was awesome, I never would have dreamed we would hold watford for 120mins without conceding a goal. The team were absolutely brilliant and a credit to the club.
My Man of the match has to be Ian Dunbavin, he pulled off some excellent saves throughout the match. I was shocked to see him replaced near to the end of extra time, he got a standing ovation from
every stanley fan...Well Done Ian
The support from the fans was excellent throughout the match, well done diesel the drum playing was great. You would have thought it was a cup final at the new Wembley, we sang for the whole 120mins. The penalty shoot out was nailbiting stuff you could feel the tension in the air!
But, you always get some idiots that try to spoil things dont you....
When we set off home we had some brain dead 'cockney chavs' in a car driving past us and making hand gestures, shouting abuse and generally driving like idiots, im sure they were following us, we saw them on a few occasions on the way to the motorway...they were probably just jealous of our team
