Hi

i'm trying to trace any info on my maternal grandfather, Joseph Johnson. he was listed as a pro footballer on my mothers birth certificate in 1830, living in Birkenhead.

Does anyone have any old data going back that far? Looks like he might have been at Accrington Stanley in 1932 and could have played at halifax and Wigan borough in previous seasons.

Any help would be appreciated
