I've heard of a dog being scanned and the Microchip had moved from the neck down to the front leg,and as for the puppies trauma after recieving it,sounds like the vet was a bit rough.Also after innoculations it is normal for your dog to seem a bit withdrawn,as they tend to have some pain around the injection site for a day or so.
