I have a Jewish friend Tina. She'd be hard pushed to name the monarch prior to the present Queen, never mind have any idea about the creation of the state of Israel.
Mind you, she could probably name every post war Newcastle United team, or all the head designers at Dior, since the death of Christian Dior.
