I'm just surprised that so few of the children born in 1945/46 wern't given the name "Burtonwood "

(from what my late Mother used to say it seems it was a very popular place for young ladies from the north-west who liked to fraternize with the US troops stationed in the UK prior to the D-Day invasion )
