It is not just young drivers who are graded for their lack of experience by insurance companies.
The companies assess the amount of risk to them from stats gathered over a number of years and young drivers are at the top of the risk league.
Skill in driving comes through experience that is why we have a no claims bonus system........drive safely and it costs you less.
A lot of young drivers in my experience when passing a test are tempted to see how fast they can go in a car or other vehicle on the open road.
The art of driving is not how fast you can go, i'ts how fast you can deal with a situation should one arise.
