Yes, probably helped stop rot, on paper, but the fact we're 2,000 down on same games from last season means it needs a deeper analysis. Hopefully the club is weighing all the angles up, doubt if there will be any more this season, until Daggers in April. Be a bit nippy from now on, plus, it would be nice to know what affect it has on travelling support, and this is an important consideration.

I'm old enough to have been watching Stanley in the fifties, but lived where football was in everybody's blood, and went every Saturday, looking forward to tales of Stanley's last 50 years though.

When you look at attendances across League 2 the big losers are Lincoln, Wrexham and Brentford for obvious reasons. While MK Dons, Bradford and Morecambe are big gainers for various reasons, (good luck to Morecambe, btw). The oddity is probably Hereford who are more successful this year but 250 down on average.

It's a mixed bag, if Stanley were to decide on more Friday night games next year, what effect would it have on season ticket sales? Etc. etc.
