A BBC correspondent said, yesterday, that many Sudanese were led to believe Mrs Gibbons had "made a representation of an animal then called it Mohammed". That is how evil regimes manipulate the population. That is how those with their own "agenda" incite otherwise peaceful people to jihad.
This whole farce of a charge, trial and sentence has been engineered to promote anti-West feelings amongst the less educated Sudanese and deflect attention from Darfur.
