Oops, never seen that thread. sorry. Serves me right for having been away from the site for so long, eh?

This an old view, looking down Manchester Road shows the old Wesley Church, long since demolished. I think they must mean this area, which of course was taken over a few years ago by a car sales. The premises also go round into Grange Lane and that will be where they intend the "undercroft" to be.
