Magaret, I understand were you are coming from, but surely you have also seen the other side of the mirror?
A guy goes out with his beloved they are both most amiable to their friends, but she keeps niggling, only slightly to begin with, but the more she drinks, the more she has to mention his shortcomings, until the rest of the group they are out with use any excuse they can to leave them alone, because they know she is going to talk him around to being violent even though with a better partner he would be the most placid guy in the world!
