My ancestor and his family lived in Carleton In Craven, Yorkshire.
I am not sure if he drove cattle all that way from his family's farm, or if cattle drovers were hired by local farmers.

What about local butcher's ?
I have a Lawrence Kenyon Sutcliffe, died 1953 lived College Street and a Jesse Sudall died 1944 in Queens Road but lived 31 Plantation Street for large part of his life.

Anybody know anything about these local people or where their shops might have been ?
