Cool Here We Go Again.

At 0100 on Sunday the 30th March 2008 we are all obliged to go through the ridiculous annual ritual of moving all clocks, watches and time pieces forward one hour. And then in October we have to put the time back one hour. Its called “Daylight Saving Time” or as we know it in the UK “British Summer Time”.

Why?

What good does it do?

It is daylight before 0700 and stays light until 1900 and as each day goes by it gets light earlier and stays light later. In other words from now on and for the next six months or so there are more daylight hours than there are dark hours.

What is the point?

Who benefits by this annual charade?

It is time to stop messing around with the clocks and either settle for GMT all year round or BST all year round.
