I'd have thought that playing for the academy would a big deal of sorts, but just getting a trial is no great shakes.
Numerous pfolk have complained to me that the academy give out 6 week trails to anybody that displays talent. That to me is a good thing and shows that we are trying to ensure that the cream of the local crop get spotted. The latest complainant was more bothered about the fact that whilst they are 'on trial' they cannot play for their clubs, thereby creating an unfair advantage in their league, especially if timed right
But if we don't offer out trials like this then we will never get to see what the local kids can do.
