Re: Yet another Google Page Ranking disaster?

I'm afraid some of this may just land at my feet, I set up the deal in order to try and improve the lounge for everyone. I think the right thing to do would be to set a few things straight.

I know the owners quite well and although this isn't helpful as a statement for the club, I felt at the time that the deal was strong enough in their favour not to really include the contra deals that Mr Swinn has mentioned. Without posting details of the package for which I'm sure you will appreciate why. I now believe the deal was weighted well at that time in the favour of the sponsor.

I would expect any club to be able to go to a main sponsor for support on these instances and can name a multitude of companies who would help the club in any circumstances, Greyhound Ford, Sagar Insurance and Sovereign are fine examples.

If a sponsor wanted to talk about promotions and efforts to raise the profile and the club dont communicate then thats a different matter. But I know from conversations with Buy the House recently that they have a good relationship with Rob Heys, as to this story, I'm not to sure where it has come from or why? Just don't knock the club without evidence on this one guys. One thing that people realise quickly is that the club have a power of loyalty and it's indeed a brave move to criticise the club on it's doorstep. I would have thought the housing market is weak enough without losing hundreds of potential customers?
