He used to play football on Lower Antley St with the lads that lived nearby, he was a lovely man. I believe that he was at a parish in Manchester about 5 years ago. I wonder if he's still alive.
You are right about Stirling Dog Foods, it smelled foul winter and summer. We used to go in the public loo's on the end of Moscow Mill St for a crafty ciggie at dinner times, also to the stream down the side of the school.
