Or to quote the real quote by William Congreve in a play “The Morning Bride” back in 1697, “Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned / Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.”

I prefer “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”. It’s more succinct.

Whenever I see my ex’s new bloke my thoughts are, “Poor guy. What wrong has he done to deserve her?”
