Re: who remembers Sabu

[quote=steeljack;642009]Just finished watching 'Thief of Bagdad' , yep I know it sounds sad , (it was a staple of Sunday afternoon television in the 50s) but re-watching it again after all these years I was surprised at the number of special effects , all done without the modern day wizardry of computers , Considering it was made in 1940 , early days of color film I think it should be added to any 'classic/best ' movie list .
Looking back , I'm thinking that Sabu was on a lot of little lads 'heros' list during the 50s, he got to play with Elephants and Snakes in the Original Jungle book [/quot

At the time the movie was made Sabu was the only Indian voice we heard.
Now they are on the phone every hour of the day pretending they are calling from MELBOURNE trying to sell anything and everything

But we all know they are calling from CALCUTTA [can,t spell MUMBAI]
