Watched the Cenotaph ceremony this morning too. All those people from varying regiments/organisations that were involved in the wars that still feel the need to honour our dead. Can only admire the skill too in the way the British Legion organise the Poppy Appeal. Felt very proud watching the old and new soldiers.
Saw the little one in Oswaldtwistle this afternoon .. not quite the same and small procession, but a sign of respect nonetheless. Took a couple of pictures, afraid got camera shake due to the cold and rain, but you can get an idea of the
much smaller scale. Loved the man walking with his dog which had a doggy raincoat on.

Was speaking to the Observer photographer beforehand, who had come to photo something entirely different at the Theatre; he had already been to five and was off to Rossendale to photo another. Good that each little township has their own.
