Thats the problem with these media folks. Instead of just "Acting" or reporting the news they somehow believe they have a god-given right to pronounce on any political, moral or economic issue they see fit, on the basis that they know better than the rest of us poor b*ggars. Unfortunatly, their friend in the same media then report this as being gospel truth.
Personally, I think it is disgraceful that we should make a song-and-dance about the fact that this third-rate actress who plays some weirdo transvestite in what was once a good TV soap should come from Accy; O.K.; she's made it big in Granadaland, but if she wishes to lampoon her own people thn I suggest we stick a big sign on the Borough boundary, saying "Sod Off, Hesmondhailgh - you're not welcome any more".
