I have always been proud of the fact that my Father's family was from Lancashire, and have come here now as I am fascinated by the kinds of lives my family may have lived in Lancashire in the past - well Accrington actually, and, having seen that there's many helpful folks here with much better knowledge of the local area than I have, I thought that I'd pop along here to pick a fof the local history brains from time to time - hope that's OK.

By the way, my favourite meal of all times is Meat and Potato Pie - made the 'proper' way (in my opinion) in a huge dish, with a pastry crust, possibly 'witchard' and served with some home preserved pickled red cabbage.

Such a shame that's not what is for tea tonight!
