You can cook things from fresh just as cheaply as buying convienience food, it's been proved many times, but a lot of people don't know how to, or say they haven't the time, which is a bit laughable, especially if you're not working.

I was always dahn the market when I lived in London, and used to feed myself for next to nowt, especially if like me you go when they are packing up.
