another problem about re-opening pits is that as said comunities worked the mines which basicly means if dad was a miner their sons would become miners but now the comunities are destroyed there is no one to work the mines exept imigrants which will bring about another debate alltogether
the nice small village comunities that worked a lot of the mines lost their homes and basicly the villages are now what are classed as desireable areas and cost a fortune so are probably occupied by people who wouldnt even touch a lump of coal yet alone dig for it
